What we collect
Account basics (name, email, date of birth, city/state), your gluten-free status, and the profile details you choose to share. We collect messages, likes, and events to run the app.
Recovery email
If you add a recovery email, we use it only to send you safety notices about your account — password changes, primary email changes, and reset requests.
Location
If you share your location — either from your browser or by entering a city or ZIP — we store the coordinates on your profile so we can show people near you and calculate distances. City/ZIP look-ups are handled through OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (© OpenStreetMap contributors). You can update or clear your location any time on your profile.
How we use it
To help you meet people who share your gluten-free reality, keep the community safe, and improve the product. We don't sell your data.
Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in the clear. Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. We check new passwords against known-breach databases so members don't reuse compromised passwords.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile at any time from your account settings. Contact us if you'd like a copy of your data or want your account fully removed.
